Named scholarships & funds

When it comes to earning a college degree, the greatest obstacle can be funding.

For this reason, 91´«Ã½ÔÚÏß is pleased for the opportunity each year to assist talented, deserving students achieve their dreams, thanks to more than 1,300 named scholarships established through the kindness and generosity of thousands of 91´«Ã½ÔÚÏß alumni and friends, corporations, and foundations.

Scholarships truly are the best way to ensure that today’s students persist to graduation. Scholarships allow students to enroll full time and remain focused on their studies; they also reduce drop-out rates, decrease the stress of student loans, and shorten the road to graduation.

If you are interested in making a significant contribution to student success, please consider a gift to scholarships. You may also establish a named scholarship at 91´«Ã½ÔÚÏß, which can be created to honor a living person, in memory of a loved one, or to contribute to the growth of an area of study.

Brandt, Adam David Fund for the Mary Schiller Myers School of Art

The Adam David Brandt Fund for the Mary Schiller Myers School of Art was established in 2025 by David Brandt '73, '78. A passionate advocate for the arts, David earned a Bachelor of Science in Art Education K-12 from 91´«Ã½ÔÚÏß in 1973 and later pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting.

David's journey as a student was made possible through the extraordinary support of an employer that believed in investing in education. Initially hired under a tuition assistance program aligned with a Bachelor of Science in Education K-12, David later followed a deep personal passion for art - shaped by the influence of his mother, grandmother, and extended family - and changed majors to Art Education. Although this new path did not directly align with his employer's initial funding priorities, the Personnel Department Manager recognized the value of the change and generously extended financial support. This included not only tuition but also the cost of essential materials, books, and immersive art experiences like seminars and museum visits.

Grateful for the unwavering support received during those formative years, David now seeks to "pay it forward" by creating opportunities for future generations of art students. The establishment of this fund is to ensure that no art student is left behind due to financial barriers. The fund is intended to be inclusive of all areas of artistic study and supports students who are committed to pursuing their passion for art, in whatever form it may take; ensuring they have the necessary supplies they need to be successful.

Through his generous gifts, David honors the spirit of mentorship, access, and opportunity - and affirms the belief that the arts are essential to a vibrant, creative society. The Adam David Brandt Fund for the Mary Schiller Myers School of Art will be administered at the discretion of the Director of the Mary Schiller Myers School of Art at 91´«Ã½ÔÚÏß for the purpose of providing necessary art supplies/equipment to students at the school.

To make a tax-deductible gift to this fund, please visit 91´«Ã½ÔÚÏß’s . Select “A different designation” from the drop-down menu and enter “Adam David Brandt Fund for Myers School of Art” in the text box. Thank you!
